Financial Literacy

This week we had Chris, Lyndsey, Jasmine and Sasha from PwC come to Glenbrae School to teach us
about Financial Literacy. We first learnt about how to save, spend and donate money. I really enjoyed
acting out different scenarios. It was so fun for Pinomi and I to do the acting. We were acting about
bad borrowing and good borrowing.

I just want to say thank you PwC. You were the best and I learnt heaps about money.

Legend of Nian

In the dark blue sea was Nian. Nian is a legendary beast. Nian likes to come out of the sea when it is Chinese new year. He will come to eat whatever he  finds. Nian does not like colour red, music and fireworks. One New Year the Chinese put up red lanterns, paint red and play lots of music and light up fireworks and from now on Nian the legendary beast does not come back ever again.

The robot that came to life

The rain started to pour down really hard. I was heartbroken but then I hear an owl hooting . then i saw a big, old house and I went to the door then I knocked on the door four times. the door opened a little bit then there was a lot of bats that flew in to my face.  I went inside and I found a torch and it lit up but in the darkest room, I found a glass roof then for 1 hour the moonlight shone bright like a star. it shone bright in my eyes. I went down to the other end of the room then the moonlight shone on a robot then the robot came to life. the robot told me that he was stuck here for years. I was sad and worried for the robot. the robot was in this old house so i told him if he wants to come to my town and he said yes. he was so excited .

Sea turtle are endangered

Eggs look like ping pong balls

And the gold sea turtle is killed for jewellery

They confuse plastic looks for  jelly fish
Under sea sea turtles swim fast and on land slow  
Reptiles  are cold blooded
The female sea turtles lay their eggs on land
Leatherback  skins are used for  boots
